Hospital Plan

Hospital plans are not medical aids. Hospital plans only cover medical expenses for inpatient care, but not medication, doctors visits, optometry or dentistry. They are the cheapest form of medical insurance and are usually taken out by younger clients who are in good health. The disadvantage of this type of cover is that cover only begins after the first night’s stay in hospital. Even in the case of dread disease, it is only covered if it requires treatment in hospital over night, which many do not.
