URGENT NOTIFICATION - (16/9/2009): Change of venue for the OUTsurance OUTride
Due to some security concerns at the Union Buildings (Pretoria), the start & finish of the OUTride 2009 has been moved. Rietondale Park is the new venue.

Contributing to the South African mountain biking calendar is the OUTsurance Insurance OUTride to take place on the 19th of September. Nestled in the koppies of the Nesca facility, 30 minutes west of Pretoria and 20 minutes away from Johannesburg, the outride sees bikers cycle two laps of 20 km each. Passing the Gustav Preller House, the route affords cyclists the opportunity to see the Big Five.
The next day on the 20th, the OUTride moves to the Pretoria (Rietondale Park). The ride pays tribute to the grandeur of the site with the prominent city of Pretoria as the backdrop.
Nic White, South African biking legend, and other cyclists will be there along with Jacaranda 94.2 providing entertainment. After riders finish the open/seeded groups, the licensed cyclists battle each other from 11h00 for the top spot.
The grueling battle to the top sees many a cyclist spill blood and tears, but the victory of crossing the finish line is well worth it. Cordoned off streets promise safety while OUTsurance bike insurance offers peace of mind. For more information on the race visit OUTsurance OUTride
